Not every celebration in Cabo is a wedding, and not every event wants the same coverage. At Posada Cabo del Sol I have photographed hosted dinners, live shows and private parties, and the best images always come from the same approach: stay out of the way, follow the energy, and catch the room at the moment it is most alive.
What I photograph at an event
I cover the whole arc: the room as it fills, the details and styling, the dinner, the performances, and the guests who make the night. For shows I work with stage light and movement, and I keep my flash discreet so it never breaks the mood. The result is a set that shows not just what happened, but how the evening felt.
Live shows and entertainment
Performances are some of my favorite things to shoot. The lighting is dramatic, the movement is fast, and you only get one take. I position myself early, learn the blocking, and shoot for the peak of each moment so you end up with frames that look like production stills rather than snapshots.
Dinners, details and the people
Between the big moments are the ones that make an event feel like yours: the table set before anyone sits down, the toast that gets everyone laughing, the quiet conversations at the edges of the room. I look for those as much as the spectacle, because they are what you will want to remember a year later.
"At an event I am not directing anyone. I am following the night and catching it at its best."
Planning event coverage in Los Cabos
I cover private and hosted events across Los Cabos, from welcome dinners to full celebrations with entertainment. You can see more of my work in the creative photography gallery, and if the event is actually a wedding, my Cabo destination wedding photography is the right place to look. For local logistics, the official Los Cabos tourism board is useful.
