Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa sits directly on Playa El Médano, the calm swimmable beach in downtown Cabo San Lucas, with white architecture and Land's End behind it. Here is how weddings and photos work there. Last updated: September 2026.
Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa is one of the best wedding venues in Cabo San Lucas. It sits directly on Playa El Médano, the calm swimmable beach, and it combines modern white architecture with rooftop terraces and a view of Land's End that makes ceremony photos feel instantly like Cabo. I have photographed weddings here, and it is one of the venues I recommend most to couples who want a beachfront celebration in the middle of town.

Where weddings and photos happen at Corazón Cabo
The ceremony usually takes place on the beachfront or on a terrace, framed by the resort's sculptural white architecture and, in the background, the granite of Land's End. Many couples marry under a floral arch, with El Arco floating behind them. Cocktail hour moves to a terrace, and receptions run either outdoors or in a ballroom. The rooftop is a favorite for the first look and for the wide shots of the bay.
The best light at Corazón Cabo
Golden hour is the winner here, because the resort faces the bay and the white buildings stay bright and clean in the frame. I recommend a ceremony that starts about ninety minutes before sunset: comfortable light for the vows, then golden, warm light for the couple portraits right after the first kiss, and sunset behind the first dances. Late morning also works beautifully for the terrace, with a soft, even light that flatters everyone.
Why couples choose Corazón Cabo
Location is the first reason. Being on El Médano means your guests can walk to the marina and downtown, and the beach itself is swimmable, which not every Cabo beach is. The second is the architecture: clean modern lines and the white circular arch create a look that photographs like a destination wedding, without the couple having to design every detail themselves. The third is convenience, since it is a full resort with rooms, pools, restaurants and a spa, so the whole wedding can happen in one place.
How the day usually flows
Getting-ready photos in a suite, a first look somewhere quiet, then the ceremony on the beach or terrace. After the vows we use the golden window for couple portraits while guests move to cocktail hour, then the reception, toasts and dancing. Because everything is on one property, there is almost no travel time, and that means less stress and more photos of the people you love.
"At Corazón the venue does half the styling. My job is to be ready for the light when it turns."
Booking a Corazón Cabo wedding photographer
I photograph weddings at Corazón Cabo and across Los Cabos, and I coordinate with the resort's wedding team on the timeline so the ceremony and portraits land in the best light. You can see how I cover a full day on my Cabo destination wedding photography page, browse more venues in my guide to the best wedding venues in Cabo San Lucas, and see more frames in the photography gallery. For planning around Cabo, the official Los Cabos tourism board is a good resource.
